Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
In the last few weeks, CoreTemp has been flashing up on my desktop while running minimized. The window does not stay visible, but it flashes and goes away. I can't figure out how to stop this.
Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
I've got the same issue.
Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
FWIW I downgraded to 1.17.1 to get it stable. Many of us would like an update but the author does not respond.
Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
I find 1.17.1 is just as bad.
I think I'm going to have to look for an alternative.

Guys, you all might want to email the author about this issue:
Arthur Liberman
arthur_liberman@hotmail.com
I am sure he reads his emails much more often than this forum.

Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
There is a new update, v1.18.1. The point release addresses the update bug and some others. It may have a fix for this.
Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
I am afraid the Release Notes do not mention the bug of "flashing up on desktop".
So, most likely it is not fixed, at least in this update/version.
Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
You're probably right. Certainly there could be no sense in trying it before deciding it will not be fixed.

Can anyone please better explain what sort of flashing you are talking about? Maybe a screenshot or a short screen recording?
Which OS are you using, which GPU (maybe related to gfx driver?)
If possible, estimation when this issue started for you.
It's probable that there's another program that somehow causes this to happen, because Core Temp does respond to some potentially obscure Windowing events.

Re: Bug 1.18 Keeps flashing up on desktop
Guys, please could you also post your Core Temp Settings --> General tab, Windows Taskbar tab, Display tab screenshots?
It would be nice to know if all with this issue share the same Settings, OR if they are different.

Here is a video I managed to capture: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K59EbUW7kWE
This is something that happens every couple of minutes. It is incredibly frustrating.
I personally am using Windows 11, I have an AMD RX 6700XT with up-to-date graphics drivers. I'm not sure when the issue started.
A dump file if it's any use: https://pastebin.com/p4HQtfcx
