Hi,
Latest CoreTemp / Gadget versions / Windows 7 Ult. (32 Bit). I'm seeing a TjMax of 52°C in the gadget which is far too low for this CPU. Can you explain why I'm seeing this?
Many Thanks

Actually it is wrong. The next version will have this problem fixed.
Although we're talking TCaseMax, not TjMax, they are not the same and tcasemax is usually at least 15c lower than tjmax.

It should be released late this month or early September. The Core Temp Gadget will also be updated around the same time, so watch the gadget for an update notification.

It is not TjMax, it's TCaseMax and it's what AMD set it to.
The s939 have a "variable" TCaseMax and TDP values which were written into the CPU. Meaning you could have 2 identical CPU's in your hands and they would have different TCaseMax and TDP values. The range was usually from 51 - 70C.
The formula Core Temp used until now for the TCaseMax calculation was simply wrong, and it has been fixed now.
