multiple instances after 1.18 install

after clean uninstall and reinstall of old and new 1.18. remnants of the old version shows up after a restart. i would have several numbers in my notification around 8, like temp, freq, ram and cpu load, and another set of temp, freq, ram and load obviously the color setting from the older version.
quick fix was to reinstall uninstall the 1.18. delete its folder and reinstall 1.17
