v1.16 - 64 bit - Win10 Plugin not recognised

Post by daveaclayton »

I was advised of the update to CoreTemp. When I updated all worked fine, until the first MS-Update. Now the Plugin is reported as not being recognised.

Trying to use localhost:5200 does not work either.

Everything else appears to work fine.

Any ideas...?

Not sure what you mean by "Plugin is reported as not being recognised".
What is the error message and where?

If you mean that the phone can't connect, you would have to check the Windows Firewall, and make sure that Core Temp is enabled for incoming connections.

Hi,
Many thanks for the response. Here is the message...

Apologies for any ambiguity & my unfamiliarity with this site - I am new here & cannot find any obvious way of simply pasting a (partial) screenshot here.(E.g by using win10 snip 'n' sketch & pasting it from clipboard.) NB: I am unable to post on any site to provide a URL.

<An exception has occured while loading plugin 'C:\ProgamFiles\Core\Temp\plugins\CoreTempRemoteServer\PluginNetinterface-x64.dll': Failed to load plugin.>

The message comes up as a 'Core Temp: Warning' at bootup time, when Core Temp 1.16 runs.

Make sure that you have .NET Framework 3.5 enabled in Windows Features.

Hi,

I checked the windows features settings - FYI: none of which I have previously adjusted.

There was an apparant partial setting on win3.5 (the box had a black dot in it) - though none of the 2 sub-ordinate HTTP or non-HTTP seetings where ticked. - I ticked them both. resulting in ticks throughout. (Master and 2 sub-ordinates all with ticks)

Sadly, the problem remains...

Thanks for your help!

Why can you not upload images online!?
Are you at work with Internet restrictions?
OR is your home Internet connection slow/faulty so even 1-2 MB files cannot upload normally, and abort out at some point?

Anyway, you can use this free software:
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/tp ... t-utility/
OR you can use your Cloud of choice screenshoter too, such as Dropbox screenshoter function, MS OneDrive, Google Drive and almost any other have this also. :-)
I am personally using Dropbox and Cloud.Mail.Ru screenshoters -- the latter can add text, arrows and what not to screenshots, very useful & convenient.
(I am using their old-style Cloud.Mail.Ru Windows app though, new one I do not like.)

If not, the forums also have an attachments function - when you reply just beneath the textbox for typing your reply, you will see Options, such as Disable BBCode, smilies/etc, and next to that Options button as an Attachments button.
The forum has a very harsh, low limit though, I think files no larger than 1 MB are allowed, so your screenshots must be cut-off (not whole screen!) and in JPG format, as it compresses images best. :)

Random screenshot of mine attached to test this. ;)
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

I don't understand which MS-Update you are talking about, sorry.
I tested the add-on on the latest version of Windows 10 (2004), with the latest updates, and it works fine.

Try to download and unzip the Core Temp Remote Server again, and restart Core Temp.
