history logging not is saved if PC crashes

Post by anzi »

Unfortunately history logging file not is saved if PC crashes, i\m considering that as a bug.

I'm using portable version v1.15.1

Also app not saves maximum temp. date/time moment - I don't know how is intended behaviuor, but now with this functionality it's impossible to use this app for the meaningfull = usefull monitoring or / and failure analysis. So basically now it's more like toy.

Core Temp is most definitely NOT a toy. Lots of hard work has been put into it, so analogy with any toys is a very poor one.

EDIT: However, if log file entries/logged data is indeed lost on a system crash/freeze or BSOD, this is indeed a major issue that should be fixed.
Being a Windows GUI programmer myself, my own programs - many of those - do not depend on any temporary RAM data storage - ALL collected sensors data is at once written to the data/database files my programs use. This means on a system crash, freeze, or BSOD the only data lost is the data not collected while my program is not running.
Although, I must admit for my programs data collection happens quite more rarely, such as once per minute or once per 2 minutes/etc and not on a milliseconds or seconds basis the way Core Temp does it. :)
