reported temperature to low

Post by Remdul »

Hi,

The core temperature reported on my AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ (mobo: MSI K9N Neo V3) is about half of what it should be:

Under CPU 100% load of a (single threaded) application it reaches a stable ~23. Second core remains 1 or 2 units higher than the other. The BIOS reports ~36C.

Another monitoring tool (SpeedFan) reports the same numbers. I haven't found another tool atm that supports this hardware.

Ps, any chance you can Open Source this program? I think Core Temp and it's users may benefit from it. Either way, keep up the great work! :)

All the Brisbane chips seem to under report by a long shot.
There is no way around this as Core Temp simply displays what the cores report to the program.
