Core Temp Reading Incorrect? Or??

Post by Yamcha67 »

Well I've been overclocking but I still don't know what readings to believe.

CoreTemp Full Load : 60C
SpeedFan Full Load: 46C
Cooler : Thermalright Ultima 90 W/92MM Sunon Fan
Case : Antec Nine Hundred 3X120MM Fans, 1X200MM fan (AT FULL)

E2160 @ 3.0GHZ (334X9)
1.33V
Tjunction : 100C According to Latest Ver of CoreTemp
Additional Info straight from Intel website, checked code from box.
sSpec Number: SLA3H
CPU Speed: 1.80 GHz
PCG: 06
Bus Speed: 800 MHz
Bus/Core Ratio: 9
L2 Cache Size: 1 MB
L2 Cache Speed: 1.8 GHz
Package Type: LGA775
Manufacturing Technology: 65nm
Core Stepping: L2
CPUID String: 06F2H
Thermal Design Power: 65W
Thermal Specification: 61.4°C
VID Voltage Range: 0.85V-1.5V

Now which temperature is accurate? the HSF it self is a little warm to touch at full load, but it hardly feels like 60C, the thing is I have doubts in Coretemp because it cannot read Tjunction properly, at least thats what I've been hearing. Does anyone know a way to actually figure out the actual Tjunction of a C2D??

Help is appriciated!!

Speedfan is known to be 15 off for some chips.
