G15 applet and 2600K temps

Post by alamakluke »

Hi All,

I downloaded the most recent version of CoreTemp last night and installed it no problem. But like RC3, the G15 applet will not load automatically when windows 8 boots up. I have to open CoreTemp and click on Tools and then click on G15 applet and then select "Enable G15 Applet" twice everytime for it to work and show the info on my keyboard. I notice this issue with RC3 with Windows 8 and I was hoping that it would have been fixed with RC4 but I guess not. Is there something that I can do to correct this issue? I already have CoreTemp setup to load up automatically with windows.

Another thing that I notice is that CoreTemp is showing about 10 degrees higher for CPU temps compared to my Asus AI Suite II. I think RC3 had the same issue as well. Is there something that I can do to correct this issue?

thanks in advance, other then this 2 issues, I love this little app.... cheers :D

No one has a clue? I am not sure anymore if my temps are wrong. It seems that CoreTemp and AIDA64 are displaying the same temps, both are about 10C higher then Asus AI Suite II.... But the G15 applet issue is a pain in the butt.... ;(

The issue with G15 is that Core Temp starts before the Control center software.
If you go to Scheduled tasks, and add a delay to Core Temp's startup this problem will be solved.

Temperatures are different because Core Temp uses the sensors inside the cores while the ASUS software doesn't.
Core Temp should be more accurate.
