Missing Core 1

EDIT: I attached the log.

I'm using Core Temp 1.0 64 bit downloaded as Core Temp 1.0 RC2, coretemp_1236.exe

The GUI shows 2 Cores/Threads but should I also have a CPU #1 at the bottom of the GUI (I do realize there is only one CPU)
And in the logs pasted below, shouldn't there be a column for CPU 1?

In General Options, I have allow multiple Core Temp instances checked.
In System Tray, I have All cores selected.

Image

CPUID: 0x100F63
Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 N660 (Caspian)
Platform: Socket S1g4 (638 pin)
Revision: DA-C3
Lithography: 45nm

Session start: 09:59:24 - December 18 - 2011

Time - CPU 0 Temp. (°) - CPU 0 - Low temp. (°) - High temp. (°) - Core load (%) - CPU speed (MHz)

K10 based processors contain a single thermal sensor for the entire chip - thus only 1 CPU reading is given.

Thanks! Sorry for not doing a better job searching.

Another question, if you don't mind.

In Options+Settings+System Tray+Tray Icons: with either "Highest temperature per processor" or "Highest temperature" selected, I only get the current temperature. I have to always either see the lower right corner of the GUI or the logs to see the highest temperature. If I'm correct in thinking it should display the highest temperature, I should also let you know that I have the extra icon, Processor frequency, selected.

Thanks

I would have to say that the same reason you only see a single temperature reading in Core Temp, you keep seeing the same reading for both options.
This option would be useful in the case your system had two or more processors.

I don't get it, isn't the tray icon "Highest temperature" meant to display just that. Seems to me it shouldn't matter whether it's single or dual core and/or whether it's single or dual built-in sensor.

That extra icon for frequency too, it sometimes doesn't display at boot, I have to uncheck/recheck the setting to get it back.

I think I didn't get what you were asking the first time I read your post.
This option is focused towards users with multiprocessor systems. With "Highest reading" selected, Core Temp will display a single temperature value, the highest temperature between all of the processors installed in the system.
i.e:
You have a system with 2 CPUs, CPU#0 running at 30c and CPU#1 at 40c, you will see 40. It will always display the highest current value.

Sorry, I didn't make myself more easily understood.
I see, so it's the highest between the two, unlike the max in the GUI.

It'd be sweet if I could display theses three tray icons: the curent temp, the max temp, and the proc freq.
Perhaps a suggestion if not presently possible.

I'll consider this for a future version, but IMHO it will only add to the potential clutter of icons most of us already have in our system trays.

Thanks, I appreciate the consideration!

Fortunately, most all, if not all, system tray icons are user selectable so we chose how cluttered we want it...:)
