I just did a fresh OS reinstall, and of course CT is a must have item. I installed Core Temp 0.99.8.0 32 bit, and discovered that now I can change the fonts for the tray so that they can be displayed much clearer. However, after changing the fonts and clicking "apply" they don't apply permanently. After shutdown and restart, the fonts revert back to the default font and you have to go back in and change them by hand again...every time you restart.

I'm running XP SP3 all updates, and I don't have CT start at boot. The font setting I'm trying to lock-in is: Microsoft San Serif, Regular, Size 8.

It seems that it was a problem with charset settings when loading the fonts from the config file. If you take a closer look, some fonts do save properly, some don't.
I'll do more tests, but I think I fixed this issue.

Does the font revert back to Tahoma size 8 or some strange default font with the same size you set previously?
Either way it's now been fixed.

No, it doesn't do anything strange, it reverts back to whatever you have as the default font during initial setup. (It looks just like on older CTs that only came with one font style.) I just did a shutdown and restart and the font reset itself to the default font Tahoma/Regular/7. (Even if I just close and reopen CT without a shutdown and restart, it still won't save the choices and reverts back to the default font.)

By the way, how can I download CT with the recent changes, or will it be available for download at a later date after some more fixes. (I just checked the CT website and the most recent change log is 10/3/10.)

It will be available later in a new release.

This is a great app, but I will say that the font types or sizes do not stick at all.
And you don't need to reboot for Core Temp to forget.

If you just go back into settings after setting your new font, the font settings will be forgotten.

I had the same issue on 0.99.8 but since I had originally intended to post requests and as I was playing around ran into this the bug report is in the development forum (my bad).

This is a problem in the current version. It is going to be fixed in the next release.

It's time for new beta?

This problem is still in Core Temp 1.0 RC1.

RC2 should fix all settings saving issues.
It will be out later today or tomorrow.
