Could someone please clarify why the auto-start function isn't working properly on a windows7 "user" account? I have the function auto-start enabled.
On my administrator account it is running automaticly when windows start but normally I work for safety purposes on a user-account and the auto-start function doesn't work. How i'm able to fix this?
I have the same situation on Win7 Pro x64 SP1. Core Temp works OK on the Administrator account.
On a standard User account, use of the system scheduler to auto-start (meaning start at user logon) does not work, even if set to run as Administrator.
Placing a shortcut in the User account Startup folder does not work, even if the shortcut is set to run as Administrator.
However, Core Temp DOES start on a standard User account in the following way: click the Core Temp shortcut and then manually enter the administrator account password. It's an annoying extra step, but at least it runs.
Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I was wondering if anybody had found a work-around for getting Core-Temp to start on log in for a normal (non-administrator) account? Having to start it manually every day and type in an admin password is a bit obnoxious.
