Seems under Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit the following CoreTemp file, ALSysIO64.sys, creates a "PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA" crash at initializing during boot time. Removing the software did resolve the issue. Also I found I found this thread confirming by doubts: http://www.eightforums.com/bsod-crashes ... l-exe.html (the dump posted in the topic is practically identical to mine...)
My config:
Windows 8 Pro 64 Bit
AMD FX-8350
Asus M5A99FX Pro R2.0
Please let me know if you require additional info. Im quite busy but ill do my best to help you out!
I also have a AMD FX-8150 and am running windows 8. After I installed RC5, I've been having the same errors. I did leave a message on your IRC feed. Not sure if it was you idled there or not. HELP! I love this program!
restarts are fine now. however instead of getting a bsod upon startup, i'm experiencing system lockups.
no memory dumps, nothing, just complete hangs. Have to press restart button when I get back to PC. Going to disable coretemp for a couple days and see if in fact that was the issue.
Has anyone found a fix for this. I have tried every temperture program out there and nothing does it the way Core Temp does, but my AMD FX keeps crashing on reboot every time.
it was coretemp causing the lockups. I have completely disabled it until I download RC4 again like i'm about to do now. i'm talking about the one that you linked me to coolest.
If you need my info for my hardware coolest, let me know, i'll provide it.
Hello. We are a OEM of industrial controls. Each of our machines is equipped with an AMD-based computer.
I currently have a computer (Specs below) that has had the BSoD 0x50 message as well. I did some research and found it to be your software as you are already aware. Is there a new fix? Or what can I do? Any help would be great! Thanks.
I'm having the exact same problem since I upgraded to FX-8350 and CT RC5. When I start Core Temp, it hangs while loading and soon after that PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
I previously used RC3 with FX-8120, installed 8350 and tried RC5 64-bit, it worked for a while but then I started getting this BSOD if I start Core Temp. I tried 32-bit, it worked but after a reboot got the same error. I then tried RC3 and it also worked once but after the next reboot it now gives the same error.
I am having the same problem as you guys with fx6100. Hope a fix is soon as I will have to stop using coretemp if it keeps crashing me on system shutdown. It only happens when I am shutting my system down.
Page Fault in Non Paged Area (ALsysIO64.sys) Fault.
Running Coretemp 1.0 RC5
CPU: AMD FX 8150 3.6 ghz
SSD: Samsung 840 120gb
MB: Asus Crosshair V Formula
I never had any issues with the previous release of Coretemp, but since I upgraded to RC5, it completely Blue Screens Win 8 and the only way around the issue is to completely uninstall Coretemp.
Is there an archive available to downgrade to RC4 or is there a fix in the works for this?
Seems like the issue is isolated to FX processors on both Win 7 and Win 8 64bit OS'.
Found this forum searching for a solution to the exact same problem
Windows 8 Pro x64
FX-8350

BSOD on login, spent a while troubleshooting and disk checking, with no luck until finding a post saying it related to Coretemp RC5 - Disabled Coretemp in safemode and booted in normal mode and for the first time in 10+ boot attempts, it was fine
Weirdly, I have been using Coretemp on Win 8 for a few days fine, there was a few updates today for the OS but seeing as there are plenty of other people with the same problem I guess its not OS related ?
Would really appreciate a fix, coretemp is my friend with this mini nuclear plant FX chip
any news yet on rc6 with a fix for that error?
and any chance to implement trinity cpus in the supported list?
i mean im using rc5 with an offset of 33°C for my x4 750k (found that one out through the overclocking tool of asrock), but i would really like to get rid of that occassional crash instead of considering uninstalling this wonderful tool.
I have the same problem since I installed Samsung 840 pro
Corsair and never before had no problem
In addition, the motherboard is no longer beeps at startup
happens to you?
CPU: AMD FX 8350 4.0 ghz
Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX
Window 7 Pro Sp1
If there is there a current work around other than disabling Core Temp? I also noted the following
1) The problem did not occur with a fresh install of window 7 sp1 but did occur on the first restart after running windows update.
2) I can start Core temp manually without an immediate crash, i have not tried to leave it running though.
