0.99.8.0 64-Bit - I can't enable the G15 display ...

Post by bobdude11 »

Here are my system specs:

Core i7 950
Windows 7 Ultimate (64-Bit)
EVGA GTX 480 (not sure this is relevent)
Logitech G15 Keyboard
EVGA X58 SLI 3
12GB RAM

I point out the EVGA vid card, because I do run the Precision app (version 2.0.2); even after I closed that down, I am unable to get the G15 LCD setting to stay enabled.

My primary question is this: Is this, in fact, an active feature or is that a placeholder for that feature down the line?

Other questions:

-- Is this feature only available for 32-Bit OS's?
-- Is there something else I need to do to get it to work (i.e.: a configuration file, another program needs to be installed, a missing .NET version, etc.)?
-- Am I being a pest?
-- Do you wish I would quit asking silly questions?
-- A train leaves the station a 5 p.m. (EDT) going west into a headwind of 15 mph; a second train leaves the station at 6 p.m. CDT going east into a headwind of 30 mph. The problem: How licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop (tm)?

I am curious abot the G15 LCDthing - I think it would be cool to be able to have that displayed there - I use it for many things (EVGA Precision (GPU temps, fan speeds, etc.), Battlefield BC2 (displays health and ammo count), RSS feeds, emails from Live Mail, CPU clock speeds (Logitech software has this) and weather updates (REALLY cool!) - i will be moving to the G19 at some point and would love to have CoreTemp display on that LCD panel as well (in color no less!)

Have a good evening to you all. :)

Hi and welcome to the forums!

The G15 feature is for Logitech G15 users, it should work as long as you have the Logitech Control Center application installed and running - it is an active feature and is not platform (x86/x64) dependent.
There's nothing else to install besides the Logitech software. Maybe need to restart Core Temp if the applet doesn't start automatically.
Also you may need to configure the Logitech software, maybe it has Core Temp blocked in some way.

Ok - call me a noob - I just realized that I had to click to the left of the line - I was clicking on the 'Enable g15 Applet' - I just clicked in the open area to the left of the line and voila! I have Core Temp readings in my G15 LCD ... sorry for the dumb question!
