both dual ddr, both 8x agp i'll get links tomorrow but whatcha recon

really need new gfx card and want a rad 9700 pro prob get this stuff easter / may

but dont wanna replace chip or have to get better memory :? (cos frankly my dear watson I CANT AFFORD it :cry: ) stickin wiv current 1.6 willy aswell for a while

From my knowlage of Gigabyte, they have nice solid boards, but you can't tweak them much and they will prolly not OC too well... But its your choice. I don't know much about the Intel side of things :(

I think either would be a good brand. If they use the same chipset then look at the feature list. See which grabs you most. I know Asus have COP (CPU overheating protection) and some Gigabyte boards do/did have Dual BIOS.

easter comes g8x rad 9700 pro lian li pc70 and new hdd

Dude check outr newweggs refurb section, they have one for 41 bux , you could save yourself 100 bux . Now buy your vid card for 30-50 bux + 100 saved on refubed
