Extended system information coming soon

Post by The Coolest »

I've started working on another feature which I hope Core Temp users will like:

Image

As of right now it only provides CPU information (still early in development).
Still planned:
  • Memory information: Physical size, Slots, Timings, Frequency etc.
  • Chipset information.
  • nVidia GPU temperature.
This will take some time to create as it will be based on a completely new code. The current screenshot is taken from functionality Core Temp already has implemented.

What do you guys think?

I think there are already many software to get such infos. I would focus on temperatures but I know when I start a project and it involve programming, I never stop... :-)

My reasoning here is that there isn't much further to go with in regards of temps.
What's left is fix bugs, add some new features maybe at best.
This should provide users a good alternative to running a bunch of different software together when overclocking, all of the information will be in a single list, you can fold anything which is not of interest to you at the moment and concentrate only on that stuff that is.
It already allows you to monitor CPU temp and load, FSB/Bus clock, report the default CPU specs.
What I still need to do is add chipset detection and add RAM settings info.
Other things are really not very important, except maybe voltages and fan speeds which I currently don't plan to support (but later this thing should be fully expandable).
