Core Temp Monitor
Re: Core Temp Monitor
Thks i'll try that
Re: Core Temp Monitor
It is possible to add a + button on screen as long pressing "back" or any other combination did not bring up the "Menu" on newer android phones.
Re: Core Temp Monitor
Please use this free app to get a small on-screen widget with several icons, 1 of which is a Menu icon to bring up the menus:
Menu Button (No root) by JetToast Apps:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... menubutton
NOTE: It's a keyboard so you must switch to this keyboard after installing the app for the widget to show.
You can move the widget around the screen to location you find best.
Please tell me if that works, or not.

Re: Core Temp Monitor
Is there a way to access the information from core temp remote without using the official apps? I have windows 10 machine running the server and I want to be able to pull the data from a Pi. Perhaps via curl or other http GET method?
Re: Core Temp Monitor
Looks like the plugin problem persist, will it be fixed? The Coolest wrote: ↑Tue Sep 02, 2014 11:26 am lk32, thanks for the update.
I'm working on a new version, having a few issues right now, but I hope to get it finished and released sometime this week.
The new version should work correctly with both old and new version of the plugin.

Re: Core Temp Monitor
So, after adding a PC with coretemp to the free version of the app on my Note 9 over WLAN, it sees and connects, but no information is displayed, even with TCP-OUT & UDP-OUT set to allow in the firewall for the Windows 10 Pro machine. This is for local monitoring so WLAN is just fine as i don't need to monitor over LTE+.
Been trying to get this to work on and off since 2018, yet no avail since then.
CoreTemp version: 1.16
CoretemRemoteServer version: 1.1
AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Windows 10 Pro, version 21H2

Re: Core Temp Monitor
You need to use the Core Temp Remote Server from step 3 in the 1st post in this thread.
That will fix it.

I think I looked into it before but it didn't work just right.
I'm new to Android but will give it another look. I'm still trying to decide whether to make an iOS app for this as well or not.

Re: Core Temp Monitor
I want to monitor the temperatures of around 10 workstations from a single PC.
All workstations are windows based.
They are all on the same local network. I want to monitor from within the local network only but using a windows pc.
Is there a way i can do this?

Re: Core Temp Monitor
I think it's still there on the play store, but I believe that there's no more legacy menu in Android 10 and newer, so there is no way to add monitors.
The app is essentially deprecated and is no longer maintained.

there is a workaround for not having a menu button. Look back a few posts here or search the playstore for "Menu Button". Thats what I used and it works perfectly although a bit clunky, fortunately you only need to use it to setup

Re: Core Temp Monitor
Hello,
First off I want to thank you for your amazing and hard work to make this program.
but I have a small problem, the android app does not seem to function on the latest version of android. I have a Galaxy S22 Ultra running Android 13 version 5.10.81-android12-9-25490797-abS908WVLU2BVKI. When I load the app I get a warning that it was made for an older version of android and may not function correctly (I don't care about that) but when I get into the app I don't get any options to add a monitor, it just shows a black screen with a grey bar at the top that says Core Temp Monitor Lite, and in the middle of the black screen it says "to get started, press on the 'menu' key followed by a tap on 'add monitor' but there is nothing on the screen to tap. I have tried zooming, delete and re-install, I cannot seem to get it to work. do you have any advice?
Also do you have a donation link somewhere? Id love to send you some $$ for making this, I really appreciate it!

Hi and welcome.
The Core Temp app for Android has been discontinued, no future updates for it are currently planned.
Sadly, I have not been able to find a work around for new phones.

Brookzy, did it work or not, please?

Re: Core Temp Monitor
I'm not sure if anyone is using Core Temp Remote Server plugin. I'm still trying to figure out a way to retrieve this CPU temperature data from the plugin WITHOUT using official client applications. I only want to use the Windows command line (PowerShell, cURL, proprietary exe, etc.). Surely there has to be a way to do this?
All I want to do is get accurate CPU temperature info via command-line. I tried HardwareMonitor; however, it doesn't support newer Intel CPUs.

I understand you are no longer updating but is there any way to remove the 2 monitor restriction on the lite version? I had the Standard version (I think) but its no longer on the app store to purchase again. Re: Core Temp Monitor
Hmmmm... seems there are no posts here since 2012. Also, I cannot find the Google Play app to monitor Core Temp on my phone. (Plugin is installed and running on computer.) I, therefore, have assumed the Google app is no longer supported?
Would be nice if there was an "official" note stating such or explaining status. Thank you.

Re: Core Temp Monitor
@WizardGrimm - I am curious, which Android phone brand & model are you using?
Mine is Xiaomi Mi A1 running Android OS 9.0 Pie.
Very old now, and some parts broken but it mostly works so I still use it.
While it is gone from Google Play Store, you can still find the Core Temp Monitor Android app here:
https://apkcombo.com/core-temp-monitor/ ... mpMonitor/
You may need the extra (free) Menu app I linked above too, or a similar free Menu emulation app.
There are paid Menu apps too, but usually you need not pay for those apps to use Core Temp Monitor fully.
