Hello guys! I wanted to let the program creator know I am still around. :)
I plan to fix the Bulgarian translation for latest changes done in last 1-2 years. I will update this thread once done. :)
I assume & hope the Translator tool works fine on latest Windows 10 64-bit Insider Preview builds?

Re: zh-CN Language

Post by sharin2001 »

10 years later, here I am again.
This time, the en-US.lng of 2017 in the previous version using the translation tool will be updated as follows, and some errors have been fixed,
Thanks to the zh-TW.lng file provided by the Chinese translator for reference. Especially the little trick of adding full-width spaces before and after (the default setting) solved the big problem.
Recommending a text editor, EmEditor, It's Synchronized scrolling can greatly improve the comparison efficiency. Especially in en-US.lng (2017) added many new lines. If there is no EmEditor, it is expected to waste a lot of time on manual comparison.
I can't find the new version of en-US.lng in the latest Core Temp 2021 release (1.17.1 ), where can I get it?

Re: Core Temp Ukrainian language

Post by YuriPet »

I have updated and corrected the Ukrainian translation.
Pay attention! The <Culture> parameter for the Ukrainian language should be "uk-UA". Accordingly, the name of the language file is: uk-UA.lng
uk-UA.lng

Hi Yuri,
I intend to fix ua-UA to uk-UA, but I'm seeing some odd space and possibly other characters that are non-standard and may or may not work correctly in the program.
You can use Visual Studio Code to compare the contents of the file you uploaded to the original "ua-UA.lng" and see for yourself.
If you could correct those issues, I'll gladly update it for the next release.

I see it looks like the new version 1.19.5 has some extra English words in it to translate.

Is the English translation source file ready yet?
If not, I assume you will work on that soon - when do you think it could be ready?

(Looking at translations downloads they seem to be dated 2017, i.e. nothing new yet.)

Hi, I have the same doubts. I'm updating my old Italian translation, but I can't find the new term “effective clock” to translate in the English language file. Perhaps the file included in the Core Temp translation app archive isn't up to date, I think.

Ty. Sorry, but I still can't find the "effective clock" string to translate. I'm referring to this one. Even in the original new english file I just downloaded again through the new tool there isn't. I hope that's not hardcoded.

Ok, ty. So, I can find the new id250 on the latest en_su language file, but not in the ita language file present in the languages folder. I guess I can add it, or at this point it's better to translate it again from the new english one.

The app allows you to merge two translations, I think.
So you can load the english one, and then overlay it with the ITA one, then translate the remaining strings.

I couldn't replicate the merge function, so i hard added the string id250 to the italian file through notepad++. Now it should be ok, my core temp reads it correctly now. You find it attached here so you can test :)

What you need to do is open the en-US.lng file. Then go to File --> Merge and select the it-IT.lng file.
This will apply the translations onto the en-US.lng, and leave all the untranslated strings in English.
You can then go over them and translate them as needed.
