Thanks, Coolest. I can't reply to your PM or compose new PM for whatever reason, you have it locked down for new members.

Internal build works. Here is that register dump you requested.

I tried to install this also and it appears to load, I temporarily see the temp on my task bar, then all disappears. My gadget states that Core temp is off.
I get this message from Event viewer/windows logs/application:

Thanks everyone for posting and testing the fixed internal build.
Since this issue affected many people with an Intel CPU from the last 5 years, I've released 1.4.1 which fixes this problem and adds a couple of more fixes over 1.4.

@SteveFitz1
You can go back to Core Temp's home page and download the new build, it should fix the problem.
Main rig:
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X (True Spirit 140 Direct) / Mobo: Asrock Fatal1ty X470 / EVO 970 500GB + WD Blue 250GB + HDD / GPU: Dell RX 570 4GB / Mem: 2x16GB DDR4-3200 G.Skill 32GTZKW TridentZ - 32GB total / PSU: Seasonic Prime Ultra Gold 650W
