Phemom 9550 over reading

Guys..

I have a Phenom 9550 running Server 2008 SP2 x64

Using 99.5.20 x64

It constantly reads 115c plus - and rise's and falls with load.

I've tried putting in a negative offsett but this results in a silly number..

On Bios startup I see about 55c which seems right, running normally a finger touch test on the heatsink directly on the CPU feels cool to the touch so it def is not running at 115c.

Any advice on what I can do to get a correct reading thru Core Temp ??

That's probably a bad sensor in the chip.
The "weird" numbers with the offset is a bug, which will be fixed in the next release.
Could you post a screenshot (without the offset)?

Strangely (or not) other apps indicate the same - so a prognosis of a faulty sensor seems a sensible suggestion..

What timescales for the next version with the -ve offset ??

On another thought, it could also be the BIOS, so if you have no problem trying to update it, you may give it a shot and see if it fixes your problem.

That was the first thing I updated - didnt make a difference.. I think for me the fix will be the next version where I can put a -ve offset in..
