Question regarding temperature and things

Post by CoreTemp-User239 »

Ive been having issues with my laptop in that when I play World of Warcraft my laptop will suddenly hibernate and this only happens with WoW. People told me that this could be related to over heating so I downloaded CoreTemp to see.

The image shows the temperature at idle (just MSN and Firefox running though) and my specs of my laptop.

I was also wondering, what is the number % directly opposite of the temperature? (the 6% and 8%)
Is the temperature too hot? And if so, how to fix?

Thanks

First i would check if the fan is running. Next i would grab a can of air, turn off the computer, and clean out the fans. if it still doesn't help i would look into replacing that fan or buying a notebook cooler.

i believe your cpu needs to be 15-20 degrees less than Tj. Max.

since those are just idle temps, i am sure the load temps will be much higher, i strongly suggest you follow the steps above.

Put your hand near the exhaust vents feel if air is coming out of it or not.

turn off the computer. buy a can of compressed air, read the directions on the can, and spray into the vents of the computer you should see a lot of dust come out.
