CoreTemp not starting properly. :(

Postby CoreTemp-User108 » Fri Jan 23, 2009 4:25 pm

I was using CoreTemp 0.99.3 and have just updated.

At first CoreTemp worked fine the 0.99.3 version. But this last couple of weeks for some reason, it has just suddenly stopped showing.

I click the CoreTemp.exe and it shows in the task bar and the temps show in the bottom right. However, if I click the program in the task bar it simply disappears. If I right click the temps and click show/hide it brings it back into the task bar, but again i'm unable to make it show. Although it does show a window when I hover over it.
I've tried minimizing, hide/show, move etc - I thought maybe it was trying to load on the 2nd monitor so I tried it with and without that, but no luck.

I thought 0.99.4 would solve it, so I deleted the 0.99.3 and ran 0.99.4 but the problem still persists.
I'm running Windows Vista HomePremium 64.
I've changed absolutely nothing system-wise since I started using CoreTemp. I only use it for work at the moment (Microsoft Word, Excel and Access), so I don't think i've done anything to stop it working.

Any help is appreciated, cheers.

Pete

Try to close Core Temp, delete CoreTemp.ini and then try again.
This sometimes happens when Core Temp tries to start up with x,y coordinates that are way out of the desktop range.
