What can I do if I erase the BIOS in the motherboard? What happens if we were to erase the BIOS by shorting the jumper switch on the motherboard? Will the motherboard have no BIOS now?

You're actually resetting the bios back to factory settings by using the jumper. This is an option for people who need to re-set their bios when they've played around with it too much and cause a crash. It will sometimes help with a non-booting PC.
