will CT be able to control this laptop's fans?

Hi

So if the laptop I'm buying has a CPU (i5 ivy bridge) which is present on CoreTemp supported CPU's list, does this mean that CoreTemp, apart from just reporting the temperature, definitively also will be able to control the fans? Or is there other factors that has to line up such as compatible motherboard?

I'd like to be sure before I buy. How do I do that?

It's a HP Pavilion 15-e000so Notebook PC with Intel® Core™ i5-3230M Processor.

Core Temp can only monitor CPU temperature (and other parameters), it can't control fans or any other system components, as it is not designed for that.

Heh, I'm not sure why they say that Core Temp is a fan control program, because it isn't.
Besides speedfan, there's HWMonitor, the free version has some limitations, but overall it's great.
