Hello
I'm new to the forum. I have an amd fx6100 that I am overclocking. I've read that coretemp needs to have an offset in order to read temperatures accurately. Is this true and if so, how much should the off set be for an fx6100? I also read that amd recommends monitoring core temperatures but they give a 70 Celsius limit for the cpu temperature. Is the core temperature what should be monitored (what is the limit for core temps on this chip) or cpu temperature? Any help you can give on this chip would be greatly appreciated as I trust your research, and thank you.

The offset is around 15C, between 10 and 20.
I would recommend not going over 70C on AMD chips, especially when overclocking. But the critical core temperature is still the value in the TjMax field.

is the 15 degree offset the same for all AMD fx chips?
i have FX 4300 and normal no-load temp reading seems low too, 15-19c
