Hello, I'm trying to troubleshoot a crashing PC and I believe the issue may be temperature related. I started logging temps with CoreTemp a week or so ago. This morning, the computer crashed so I went to look at my log file. The log shows that the system was running at normal temps until 7/27/2015 at 8:46PM when the High Temp reading goes from 53 degrees up to 102 degress presumably up until the system crashed.

What I don't understand is what the High Temp column means vs the regular core temp readings? Why do the core temp readings appear normal when the High Temp reading jumped way up? Please see my screenshot for what I mean.

The 'low' and 'high' columns display the lowest and highest recorded temperature in the current session.
So if for whatever reason Core Temp caught the CPU going up to 102C, this will be recorded as the highest temperature your processor has reached, and will be stored in that column
