If you are talking about Celsius, then as a reference point my computer runs at 43-48 degrees Celsius too. I do not have a liquid cooler, but I have an extremely powerful fan. When I am gaming on World of Warcraft with all my graphics turned to Ultra/MAX my CPU cores get to 50-55 degree Celsius. I think I can even hit 60 degree Celsius on hotter days. I think that the maximum temperature your computer can handle is the number next to "Tj. Max" which for me is 99 degree Celsius. Hope that helps

46C is fine, for any processor.
It'd really be nice to know what CPU you have and is it under load or when sitting idle.

Hello,
Just to comment, I have a Toshiba X70A laptop that uses an Intel I7 4700MQ CPU.
At idle (right now) the cores run at 39 to 41 degrees Celsius.
I did remove the bottom cover from the laptop and have it sitting on a CoolerMaster X3 laptop cooler that incorporates a 200 mm fan.
I render video with this machine and have never seen the core temperature exceeed 92 degrees Celsius.
Regards,
Bob
