Request: GPU Temp implementation or plugin

Post by Rango »

Hello guys. I'm a huge fan of this widget but i have Dell d620 with nvidia chip which tends to run hot and while my cpu temps are normal and even below
normal my Gpu tends to run hot. In almost all laptops gpu will always run hotter then cpu so i would think focus on GPU temp would be higher then it is on cpu
temp. For desktop with gaming same applies.

If i could request and i'm willing to donate to bring back GPU Temp as build in feature within Core Temp or plug in as shown on below thread.
The GPU temp showing up also in task tray bar as cpu is showing would be awesome and complete this widget. I mean the only thing this widget is missing is GPU temp really lol. I can imaging it being as simple as writing a query to query gpu sensor and applying same code as in cpu temp to show in widget. Copy and paste job. Since nvidia code was already devleloped maybe it just needs to be brought back.

Please pretty please bring this back into new version of GPU.

The addon discussed in that thread is no longer relevant, as the infrastructure for addons was changed, and it will no longer work at all.
I had been working on an updated version, which also had support for AMD cards, but sadly the source code for it was lost a while ago.
Your support and interest in this feature are appreciated, but sadly they are not on the top of the priority list at this point in time. It's possible that things will change some time in the future, but I can't promise it will happen any time soon.

Boss i would really appreciate to have this implemented in near future. As i said i would be willing to donate. Fact is core temp is missing just this key feature and when i say key feature is cause it's key feature as gpu runs hot and cpu usually don't. I'm running gpu temp gadget as supplementation but it's simple.
Would be cool if there were graphs for gpu and temp in above RAM on yours and separate graph window to the bottom of cpu graph along with gpu temp showing in task bar as cpu temps show. That would be killer. Thanks you and hoping for this.

Happy easter to all

Please make a plug-in for Nvidia GPU. In this wonderful program lacks just that.
