Overheat protection trigger delay

Post by elpin »

Hi, would it be possible to add some sort of delay for the overheat protection trigger? I use it to send me an e-mail in case my machine overheats when I'm not at home and making some CPU intensive calculations. Which works nice and I love it, but if the temperature oscillates around the set temperature threshold, the overheat protection triggers everytime resulting in getting tens of e-mails almost every minute. Execute once is also not a very good option because then I need to restart core temp after every trigger which is not very elegant.

So I was thinking either about a certain time delay before the next trigger happens or having fall-off threshold of for example 10 degrees. So when I set the trigger temperature to 85 degrees and the CPU gets hotter than that, it wouldn't trigger again until the temp would go lower than 75 for example.

Thanks!
David
