Save options for Core Temp Gadget

Each time I restart the Core Temp Gadget I must re-enter my preferred options. Is it possible to make my options "stick" through restarts until I intentionally reset to the Gadget's original defaults?

Gadgets configurations are deleted when you close the gadget itself manually.
Normal Windows reboot should not affect the gadget.
This is how the gadget setting system works in Windows.

Thanks for the information.
Since Core Temp Gadget must be in communication with the Core Temp.exe application, could the gadget be made to optionally read/save the user's preferences from/to the CoreTemp.ini file?

The gadget makes use of Core Temp's generic shared memory feature, so unfortunately there is no way to do that either.
Basically gadgets are made to always stay on by design.

Well, I obviously do not program gadgets, but here is an observation:

The very popular ALL CPU Meter gadget allows you to change options, such as the gadget's size, transparency, refresh time, etc. Those options are preserved after log off / log in and after reboot, in agreement with the rules you describe and the behavior of Core Temp gadget.

However, All CPU Meter options are also preserved when the gadget is closed and reopened from the desktop, unlike Core Temp gadget.

@MarkF

The options that you get when you right-click a gadget are provided by Windows' gadget infrastructure, it is independent of us, the gadget designers.
I don't see much of a reason for saving options when closing/opening the gadget manually as that may conflict with other users' configurations.. As I explained before the gadget for the most part is designed to always stay open.
