Any idea on next release?

Postby Al C. Pu » Tue Nov 29, 2011 7:22 pm

Or maybe a link to download previous releases?

As it is now, CoreTemp is completely unusable to me. Every time I restart my machine, I have to RE-configure CoreTemp to display properly in the tool tray and the "start with windows" feature never sticks. It is also reporting incorrect temperatures on my Core i7 920 (c0) processor.

I know this has been asked before, but there have been no real answers to the question. Any help with a release date and/or a link to older versions will be much, much appreciated.

Environment:
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (UAC is OFF)
Core i7 920 @ 3.6GHz
12GB DDR3 @ 1337MHz
2.5TB of storage (plenty of space)

Next version of Core Temp should be available before the end of the year.
Regarding the problem you're currently having.
1. Please make sure that you're running version RC2 and not RC1.
2. Close Core Temp, delete "Core Temp.ini" file and restart Core Temp. See if this fixes any of the configuration and temperature reporting issues that you have.

Thanks for the reply.

I will try what you suggest for a couple days and see what happens.

Well, after kicking it around awhile now, it is still not working. Even through a format and complete deletion of my CoreTemp 1.0 RC2 folder and re-installing it.

At startup, it refuses to minimize itself. It only shows the temperature of a SINGLE core and shows it inaccurately. I am constantly having to go into options, switch from "All Cores" to "Highest Temperature Per Processor" and then back to "All Cores" in order to see all of my cores in the system tray.

Can we just get a quick hotfix or something? I love Core Temp, it's literally the best utility of its kind, but these bugs are making me have to resort to using the less reliable, less informative RealTemp.

Sorry for the late response, but RC3 should fix the system tray issues and regarding starting minimized, make sure that the lower checkbox under Settings --> Windows 7 is unchecked.
