[Suggestion] OSD Direct3D/OpenGL

Post by Ninnetyer »

Hello people,

As you may know RivaTuner or Ati Tray tools read temps mostly from GPU.
But what I want to mention is that both of them got OSD support for 3D or OpenGL apps, such as VLC player, Games or other related software.
All great but there is no CPU support for temperatures, you could use aida and riva tuner server but is too much resources eater.

Thats why I woul like to suggest that core temp could have its own OSD plugin or something like that supporting 3D/OpenGL apps.

Thank you.

An OSD is not a trivial thing to achieve. I've looked into this before and decided that I can't take this kind of project on my own.
I'm not sure how others achieve this, but I haven't found anything I could use.

Also if you have one OSD already and you add another one on top of it, it'll probably hurt performance.
