[Request] Core Temp plugin for Logitech LCD keyboards

Post by The Coolest »

Hi guys,

If you know Core Temp and own a G1x device, you know that it supports the G13/G15 display. I've been getting input from users that the G1x applet which is built into Core Temp is somewhat lacking and has several other issues.
I don't have much experience developing applets for the G15 keyboard, and I am also very short on time, so development of the applet has pretty much came to a halt. My hope is to split the G1x applet from Core Temp completely and have it as a separate plugin.
I've been working hard to bring a plugin framework to the next version of Core Temp (soon to go into public beta).
I was wondering if there is anybody with some experience developing applets for the Logitech LCD keyboard who would be interested in working on a plugin for Core Temp?
Separating the G1x plugin from the actual program would also make it much easier to maintain and add features in the future, while giving users a much better overall experience.

Core Temp will support both native and .Net plugins so you are not limited to C++ or other native languages, C#/VB.Net will work just as well.

If you're interested please drop me a PM, or post in this thread and I'll send you the plugin SDK and a pre-beta release of Core Temp so that you could get started. I would like to have the plugin posted on Core Temp's website so that users who own a Logitech keyboard will be able to easily find the "missing" feature.
