Start CoreTemp on Windows Startup

Postby tarunp » Thu Aug 19, 2010 5:25 am

I am running Windows 7 and if I set Coretemp to start with Windows, a task is created in the Task Scheduler (because this is a per user setting) rather than in the startup folder for ALL users. Is it possible to provide an option to create a shortcut in the startup folder for all users ?

I noticed something strange with the latest two versions of CT. When I launch it the first time, I set CT options start with Windows + start minimized in system tray + close to system tray options, when I restart pc the main CT window remains open on the desktop. But if I deselect start CT with windows then the program ever starts normally without the window open on desktop
I think that the start CT with Windows option doesnt work properly.
My OS is W7x64

It works perfectly on Win 7. I've tested it on several computers already.
It adds a new scheduled task which launches Core Temp when you log in.
I don't really understand the issue you're having with the system tray or Core Temp not being minimized on startup? Please explain better.

Sir,

I am confused as well. Is there a way in Options>Setting to make Core Temp 0.99.8 only open in the system tray? Like run is system tray only. Rather then have it open on the Desktop and System Tray both. It is an extra step to turn it off on the desktop.

I love it and have been using it for two years.

Respectfully,

What is the problem with Core Temp being on the desktop? It will auto-hide when you minimize it. You can also make it start and minimize itself automatically, thus running hidden and only visible in the system tray.
