Icon temperature and Core graph temp data

Post by pakoppan »

Hello,

Using Core temp 0.99.5 32bit Vista

I have the tray icon set up for both cores (Mobile Intel core 2 Dua (penryn-3M)

I'm also following the temp variations with the Core temp Grapher 1.1 beta and I observed the following situation:

1. Both core temps in the tray show an almost constant value of 51/53 for both cores.
2. The graph has spikes up to almost 105 that is the default for Tj max.

As I understand it, the tray icon show how far or close I am from Tj max.

3. I see in the graph, spikes around 104 but the icon still shows 51/53 degrees.

So the question here is:

Which one of the measurements are reliable since temp of 104 didn't show a one degree difference in the tray icon

Graph =104
TjMax= 105
icon= Tjmax - graph.

Is my understanding faulty ?

Thank you

Hi,

Does this still happen with 0.99.7.3? I'd like to see a screenshot of Core Temp window and the grapher together to try and see what could cause it.
The system tray icons show you the temperature of the processor, the same as the main Core Temp window and the grapher.

Hello,

OK, I guess the post is irrelevant given the time taken from my post to your reply.

I lost my confidence in the Forum.

Best regards

Well, I am sorry for not replying sooner, but as you can see I'm only one guy and sometimes I unfortunately miss some posts, or don't have the time to reply to them the moment I see them.
I usually go over the forums once in a while looking for unanswered threads, today is one of those days.
Hope you understand and decide to give it another go.

In any case, have a good night.
