Core Temp64 help

Post by Ageeb »

I noticed a lot of people are trying to make Core Temp start-up on Windows Vista x64 with UAC enabled and finding it constantly asks for permission to run. Here is how to get legally get around UAC...
I've downloaded Core Temp .99.6 and extracted to a sub-folder inside my user(member of admins) folder. I've selected CT to start with windows and am having issues with it (i've read the task manager workarounds and am aware of how to get it to run at startup that way). What seems strange to me is that UAC doesn't bark at me, nor does the process even start, almost as if the option isn't really live. I've set privlages on the .exe to run as admin and not, with neither making a difference. Is this what everyone is experiencing or are you guys just fighting with UAC?

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 (fairly fresh install (1 week))
Gateway p7805-u laptop (C2D P8400 Penryn-M)

manual start works fine

According to CPUID PC Wizard 2010 it has entered a registry key for startup so at least i know it's trying. Why doesn't UAC mention anything on startup?

In the summary screen of PCW2010 for startup apps, it claims CT was built for 32bit (I grabbed 64bit link)? http://imagebin.org/96053
