Incorrect temp read?I just installed Core Temp on my Acer Aspire 5515, running an Athlon 64 with Win 7 64-bit. I am running the 64-bit Core Temp and the only thing showing correctly is clock speed and load. The temp sensor is reading 21*C (70*F) and isn't reporting any change in temperature. Am I doing something wrong, or is there an issue with my M/B or Core Temp?
Re: Incorrect temp read?In some cases software's access to the thermal sensors is blocked, either by the BIOS or the sensor is disabled.
In that case, depending on the specific CPU model you will see 0C or 21C. I haven't found a way around this issue. Member of our O/C Folding @ Home team
