Core Temp - Core Temperature Help

Post by Nino21 »

I have installed Core temp on my machine, Intel Core i5 3320. I am not tech geek just having issues with overheating, and search about programs I come to find core temp. Finally i have downloaded and installed successfully.

I want to ask about Core Temp, Please guide me about TJ Max 105 and Core 0 45 and Core 1 45 degrees. What temperature is safe and how hot should it be.

TjMax is the maximum rated temperature for the cores.
Core 0, Core 1 display the current, minimum and maximum recorded temperatures.
45C is perfectly fine, but idle temps mean nothing. You need to check what the temperature is when the CPU is under load.

So it means my CPU has 105 degree highest temperature. After the OS startup it remains 45 - 50 degree when idol. I often used Adobe Photoshop for editing images. Should I cpu temp monitor while using Adobe Photo shop?

Yes.
You should leave Core Temp running for a day or two, and see what the Max column says.
If it's below 80C, you don't have any overheating issues with the CPU.

Here is the reference of temperature of my laptop. I tested it for 2 days. The maximum temp goes to 50. You told me about 80 degree to be max. So fortunately i am not facing over heating issues with this laptop. But I have another one let me also check this and i will share it's stats to you
