I feel a bit stupid about this question, but I never really understood the meaning of the Min. and Max. temperature readings in front of the "actual" reading. When my CPU is executing a game these 2 different readings are very close to the main one, but when my PC is idling, the Min. is quite low and he Max. very higher. What's the whole meaning of this?

Example: screenshot of CoreTemp while my CPU is idling:

Min. represents the lowest temperature your CPU has reached, and Max. the highest temperature it has reached during the current Core Temp session.
It's a small 'history' of the temperature 'extremes' Core Temp recorded during a specific session.
