Core Temp Gadget 2.7 and Windows10

Post by abc1mce2 »

I upgraded to Windows10 from Windows7 I had the Core Temp Gadget 2.7 running and it would pop up on the upper right hand side of my screen during boot up and remain there. Now since I've upgraded to Windows10 it longer shows on my cpu. If I have to reinstall the gadget I will do but I don't remember where to install it or if I have to install it in a different place on Windows10? Remember this is an upgrade and not a clean install.

I haven't had the chance to look into running Windows 7 gadget on Windows 10 yet.
But there is no built in support for it in Win10. You need a 'Windows Sidebar' application (that's what ran the gadgets in Vista and 7), and I know that there are 3rd party ones available for download and that they do work.
If the gadget doesn't work, and displays something along the lines of "Can't load library", you simply have to enable/install .Net 3.5 in Windows' features.

I am using the same too. Windows 10 occasionally says it is not compatible and has been removed, but thankfully does not actually remove it. :)

Strange because I get that message every time and it actually does remove it and I have to keep re-installing it.

It does not for me. What Windows 10 edition/kind do you use?
I use Windows Insider Preview, which has updates fairly often.
May not be this way with other Builds/editions.
