Temperatures are separated in the System Tray

Post by cgtyoder »

Running Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, CoreTemp 1.0 RC6 x64
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600 (Sandy Bridge) (4 core + HT)

Since I upgraded to the latest version (a month ago; not sure what previous version I was using), 1 of the 4 temperatures in my System Tray is separated from the other 3. Rebooting, resetting the settings to defaults does not help. Anyone else seeing this?

This issue has been discussed before. It isn't a bug. Windows7 doesn't let the programmer control the order or position of the system tray icons.
You may try to order them the way you want, but there are no guarantees that Windows will 'remember' the changes.

Sorry - I had looked for this topic but didn't see anything. I could have sworn I tried to reorder the icons before and it didn't work. In any case, it does now. Thanks!
