can't install after problematic uninstall

Post by talikwa »

Hello tech friends,

I have been unable to access my CoreTemp settings panel since a recent trojan attack, which has been otherwise successfully resolved. I tried to uninstall the CoreTemp software with the plan to re-install it. I tried several uninstaller programs including Windows 7's built-in uninstaller but CoreTemp did not appear in the list! Not knowing what else to do, I found the CoreTemp folder in my Program Files and deleted it, then restarted the computer and attempted to install a new version I had just downloaded from the CT website. After four attempts to install the latest version all that happens is the Installer program goes partway along the progress indicator, then stalls. Any suggestions on what I can do to complete the installation?

Thanks for any assistance.

Click on "More downloads" on Core Temp's homepage and download the version for your OS (32 or 64 bits), extract the zip archive to a folder wherever you want on your PC.
Then you can run Core Temp.exe
