Hi guys, I've been trying to find the answer to this question for a couple days now.
The TJmax for E6750 g0 on 65nm according to intel is 80C. However, coretemp says it is 95C.
Here's the source I got the 80C number from. They claimed these numbers were released by intel.

I did an offset of-15C under the options tab, but now the idle temp of my pc is way below ambient. I keep my room at 26C ambient and core says it's idling at 18C.
Is 95C actually correct, and how do you know this? I cant find these numbers anywhere on the net. I know it's not physically possible for it to be below ambient. Am I not taking something into consideration? I get the feeling intel just went here's a number have fun with no proof.

Re: TJmax settings question
The TjMax values published by Intel for the 65nm chips made very little sense, this is why I stuck to values that I found looked much more accurate.
My guess is that 95C TjMax is much closer to the real TjMax than the 80C Intel published.

Re: TJmax settings question
ya I think you're right on that one. Right now at 95C im idling at 5-10 C above ambient, which seems safer to trust.
I've been experimenting with OCing on my old pc. I don't normally OC my pc's. I wanted the most accurate temps for my first run out on the stress testing for this one. :/
Thank for replying
