Temps: What's good and what's bad?

Post by TopWebNames »

Hi. I'm not an overclocker, etc. I'm dealing with a potential problem. The cooling fan in my Toshiba Satellite A135-S4487 notebook has been getting noisy. I've cleaned it with an air can, which helped, but I'd very much like to know if it's doing its job. Core Temp is great, but I don't know what temperatures indicate that the fan should be replaced, etc. What temperatures are good, not so good, too hot, way too hot, dangerous, etc.; and what should be done about them?

Thanks!

What is the TjMax value reported by Core Temp and what are the temperatures at both idle and load?
As long as the temperature is kept at around 80C or lower under full load you should be safe.
