Overheat Protection: Execute program more than once

Post by Giser »

Is there a way to set the overheat protection to run the specified program more than once when the alarm is triggered? Currently, I have Core Temp run a batch file that pauses the process that is overheating the system for 10 minutes. However, when the process resumes, and the overheat happens again, core temp will not run the batch file again.

Thoughts?

Core Temp already allows to execute the program only once, or every time overheating is detected.
You have to untick the "Execute once" checkbox in the Overheating protection dialog.

Hi Giser-
I know this is a little bit of an old thread.
Your batch file sounds really useful -- would you mind sharing a little info on how you used windows batch to determine which process was overheating your system and pause it? Did you use WMI for this, or some other method?? cheers :D
