Trouble connecting CoreTemp to Logitech G15.

Post by Goatman »

I'm having trouble when I try to enable the communication of CoreTemp to my G15 keyboard.

When I go into "Tools" then "G15 applet", I am unable to switch off the "Disable G15 applet" check mark. I'm guessing there is something else that needs to be changed. Maybe withing the G15 settings???

Any help would be appreciated.

Mitch

I've attached the version in the keyboard profile. Is this what you mean?

I went into my device manager and was surprised to not see the G15 listed under keyboard. Instead my GF-TQ6 throttle was listed. Strange.

I'm guessing this is my problem. I'll try getting that straight and try again. Funny because the keyboard works fine.

Thanks,
Mitch

I know for a fact that with version 1.03 Core Temp works fine. It should also work ok with newer versions of the software.
Your version seems to be quite old, and that could be the reason why it doesn't work.
I suggest you update your control software.

Went through a lot of headache trying to update the Logitech software so I'm posting this for others to see if they end up with a similar problem.

Their latest driver 7.0 for Windows 7 64 bit won't work. I read through some forums and found that they have a beta version which does work. This is the link that did the trick for me: http://forums.logitech.com/t5/G-Series- ... m-p/360192

Why their tech support seems to be unaware of this problem is beyond me.

Thanks for your help, after re-boot it's finally enabled.
