Automatic Overheat Protection

Hi,
Exactly what happens when I select, "Enable Overheat Protection", tick "Automatic", and leave "Only notify when critical temperature is reached" UNCHECKED?

This is version 0.99.8, I also have "Balloon Popup", and "Enable Powerdown" selected.

Depends on the particular CPU, each chip has a different threshold, usually around 60-80C.

This is getting frustrating.
Let me make it really simple...

TjMax for my CPU is 210° F. Which is the better setting....Automatic with the box unticked, or activate at the specified temperature?? And what temperature would I set that to, maybe 20% below TjMax?

When you uncheck the box, it means that whenever the temperature is "HOT" not "CRITICAL", Core Temp will popup with a warning.
This temperature is not a constant value, and depends on each individual processor as I have said.
If you want to indicate your own value by using the other options, it's usually recommended to keep the temperature at 20C or more below the TjMax value while under full load.
