- I just recently bought a samsung netbook. Its a great notebook for an on the go student that doesnt need to lug around a full size laptop. downside is the processor speeds are quite low so i find my cpu at full processor speed frequently. Downloaded your gadget (exactly what i wanted) and just was wondering if you could tell me the accuracy pertaining to this device? Intel Atom CPU N450 processor
thank you,
mechatron

Re: Intel Atom CPU N450
Atom processors seem to be a hit or miss with Core Temp and other similar tools.
The reason is that the actual TjMax reference varies a lot between processors, and Intel doesn't provide a way to detect the TjMax for each individual CPU similar to the i3/i5/i7 series.
Core Temp does the best it can, but sometimes the sensors are unreliable and strange readings may be seen if the sensor simply shuts down.
Overall it should still work fine in most cases, and may simply require an adjustment to the "Temperature offset" setting in the program.
