Couple questions.

I have down loaded the newest version of Core Temp. I'm using the non installer 32 bit version on Windows 7.

First, I can't seem to get the Windows 7 Task Bar options in Core Temp to work. Is this because I'm using th non installer version? If not what could it be?

Secondly, in the Core Temp settings in the Display tab there are four color fields options. They don't seem to do anything. The "Text" and "Labels" fields what are they for?

Lastly, when registering to this forum it would not take my email address. It said my address was not allowed. Whats up with that? I had to use another to register.

Several free email providers are banned since most of new registered users are spam bots. Unfortunately this also affects a number of legitimate users, one can simply use the email account from their ISP.
There is no difference between the standalone and the installer version in terms of functionality, so it should work in what you downloaded as well.
You have to make sure that Aero is enabled and that "Small icons" is unchecked in the Windows Taskbar settings.
The bottom part of the Display tab in the settings allows you to set the color of the text in Core Temp's window.

I have Aero enabled and large icons selected. When I start Core Temp the icon appears on the Task Bar but nothing else appears no matter what I set in the Windows 7 Task Bar tab of Core Temp settings. Shouldn't the temp appear on the Task Bar if I select that in the options?

There is no text in the taskbar.
