Here you go! The numbers show the "low" temps. Even they aren't the same. Sorry but HyperSnap didn't clearly capture all 4 temps very well.
BTW, your program is shaping up to me one of my favorites! :)

Go to Options --> Settings and uncheck TjMax Delta.
You can also go "System tray setup" to change the colors of the system tray icons for better visibility.

This work-around also solved my temperature reversal problems but it has been my experience that somehow speedfan will show higher temperatures than Core Temp but the difference is minor.

BTW - what are "normal" processor temperatures for the "average" machine ?

Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 (Yorkfield-4M)
Vista 64 bit - 8 GB RAM

It is not a workaround, displaying the distance to TjMax is an option of the program.
Either way there's no "normal", as it depends on the CPU cooler, case airflow, etc.
It's usually suggested to keep the temp 20C or more under the TjMax value while under full load.
