Core Temp 0.99.6 Quits in Win 7 64-Bit Mode

Post by hogtrader »

Have an OC'ed I7-920 that has been running Prime 95 for 37 days. Today I added Core Temp and it ran correctly for about an hour. (All temps, CPU data and CPU speeds were correct and verified thru other applications). When Core Temp first quit, I would get a message from Microsoft that it had quit and Microsoft was trying to diagnose the problem. After 4-5 restarts (No reboot required) it Blue-screened. Now it has done it again. All of these problems have occurred in the last 2 hours.
What can I send you to help you fix the problem(s)?

Screen shots won't show anything except the MS error message. I can send the dumps that MS asks me to send to them. Let me know please.

Never tried .99.5. This was my first use of Core Temp.

Do you have any other monitoring tools running?
CPUz, HWMonitor, Everest, etc.?

I ran Real Temp 3.40 simultaneously with Core Temp to verify the accuracy of Core Temp. After I was satisfied with Core Temp, I closed Real Temp. There were no problems during the time I had both apps open.
Other than security and virus scanners, the only other app running is Prime 95. I'm running 8 threads of Mersenne Prime Number searches. Currently scheduled to complete in early June.
